3 of our favourite office refurbishment projects from 2021

As January 2022 comes to an end, we felt it was an ideal moment to reflect on some of our job highlights from last year. One thing that surprised and encouraged us, as we moved through the pandemic, was a resurgence in the office refurbishments market. Businesses were wanting to offer a refreshed environment for employees to return to, after months of working from home and for businesses looking for new premises it was an opportunity to prepare vacant spaces ready for let or sale.

Cost-effective office refresh

Wealth Wizards’ Office, Leamington Spa

First on our project highlights is Wealth Wizards’ Office in Leamington Spa, from August/September 2021. Our client, Wealth Wizards, wanted to refresh their office space by making simple, cost-effective changes that would give the environment a stylish new look and that would fully embody their brand.  Injecting pops of their brand colours into the decoration and flooring choices gave their offices a smart and vibrant aesthetic.

We decorated throughout their office to give a clean and refreshed finish.  We also decorated certain areas with white board paint, which provides a highly practical solution that enables them to utilise the walls whilst maintaining a polished workspace. Bold colours on feature walls and ceilings also created delineation between spaces.

We also replaced areas of the flooring with Burmatex’s Tivoli carpet tiles in bright colours that coordinated with their brand and existing furniture.  We also installed new Burmatex Grimebuster entrance matting. We replaced some of the existing lighting with new LED lights in their reception and boardroom, to brighten these areas and to provide increased energy performance.

In addition to this we replaced the splashbacks within their two kitchen areas using Altro Whiterock Splashbacks in a colour to complement their paint colour choices.  We also undertook some general maintenance tasks to complete the works, by installing TV brackets and signage where required.

On brand office expansion

Bromwich Hardy’s Offices, Coventry

Our second featured project is Bromwich Hardy’s Offices in Coventry, back in June/July 2021. Our client, Bromwich Hardy, needed a new office environment to meet the growing needs of their business. We created a space for them that was both vibrant and fit for purpose, and which reflected closely their brand in every aspect of the project.

Our first task was to remove the dividing internal blockwork wall between their existing unit and their new unit next door.  Following a structural survey, we created a large open plan office, enabling them to achieve a better working environment for their team.  We also installed new raised access flooring and a new ceiling grid to match up with the existing ones once the wall was removed.  We also installed a new lintel, to create a walk through between a new breakfast bar seating area and their new kitchen.

We decorated throughout and installed new LED lighting, which gave the space a fresh and airy feel.  We then installed new Burmatex carpet tile flooring, enabling the client to really put their own stamp on the new space.  We combined four colour planks in the Burmatex Tivoli range and laid them in a random pattern to create a striking and bespoke look.  In addition to this we also installed new Burmatex Tivoli carpet tiles to both staircases, as well as new entrance matting in both foyer areas.  We also installed new Tarkett iD inspiration LVT to the new kitchen and toilets.

We also installed a new kitchen and breakfast bar for them, which gave a focal point to the office, and a valuable break out space for the team.  Finally, we cleaned and decorated the external front elevation of the building.

Revitalised space

Pegasus House, Warwick

Our final featured project was a large-scale office refurbishment at Pegasus House in Warwick, from July/August 2021. Here we created a revitalised space ready for occupation by a new tenant.

We first removed some existing stud wall partitioning to open-up the office spaces. We then decorated throughout, to provide a clean and refreshed environment.  In addition to this we removed old blinds, which helped to create a light and airy feel within the offices.  We then replaced all of the carpet tiles within the building with Burmatex’s Go To range, injecting border details and colour to create a smart and sophisticated final look.  We also installed Burmatex’s Grimebuster matting to both entrances.

The difference Primera can make

We worked very closely with all our clients at every stage of these projects, and they were all extremely satisfied with the results.  In each of these projects we provided our clients with refreshed and stylish office environments that demonstrate how making simple and cost-effective changes can reinvigorate a space with a fresh and polished look

January 2022 has been a busy and productive month, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
